Kismayu,(insidesomalia.org)- The traditional elders, politicians and the intellectuals from the coastal town of Kisamayu are at length committed themselves on how to eliminate unlawful barricades inside the town. The place where is quit impassable is the street leading to the airport and the harbour.
The mentioned dignitaries of Kismanyu town would be having a closed door meeting in the town today Monday to discuss several issues including the new barricades in some essential parts of Kismayu town the third largest town in Somalia, after Mogadishu and Hargeisa.
“These militias that are waylaying hail from the town and not outsiders, and with all efforts we would attempt to curb the situation” said Hassan Jama an elder.
On the other hand it is not the first time militia from the region to erect waylays in and around the town, there had been several other times the same. But this one has touched the entire parts of the thinking groups simply because this time they the militia have blocked significant points.
The Somalia transitional federal government has no control in the southern sea port town of Kismayu, and there are several other key towns which do not come under the TFG and Kismayu is not exceptional.
